Konga, Africa’s fastest growing e-commerce house, has been awarded the E-Commerce Brand of the Year Award as a reward for its peerless innovativeness and ethical business practice.

Conferring the award on the e-commerce giant at the Nigeria Sales Conference in Enugu, the Managing Director of MaureenGeorge Concept Limited, George Emetuche, described Konga as the most innovative brand in Nigerian’s marketplace today.

Emetuche, one of the organizers of the event, praised Konga for disrupting the Nigerian online marketplace with various dynamic ideas, adding that Konga’s innovative and ethical impact in the e-commerce space has no doubt endeared the brand to millions of customers all over the world. The recent launch of Konga Travel and Tours with its strong digital content and over 25 branches nationwide within 6 months is a lesson of what is to be expected from this young but technology loaded company.

A recipient of several outstanding awards in the past, Konga has built a robust suite of applications and cutting-edge technology to drive the e-commerce market since entering the market seven years ago. Manned by well-equipped and experienced internal technology team, Konga has been at the forefront of satisfying millions of its customers, using a blend of technology and innovations.

Receiving the award on behalf of Konga, Team Lead, Konga Enugu, Bethel Chukwuemeka, thanked the event organizers for recognizing the company’s strides in the e-commerce market space, noting that the reward was a call for Konga not to relent on its efficient service delivery in the marketplace.

Chukwuemeka said: “In the past seven years, we at Konga have worked very hard to bring various creative resources to disrupt the e-commerce marketplace for the benefits of our customers, who we all regard as the king. For instance, taking African’s peculiar challenge into consideration, Konga brought ingenuity into the e-commerce market by being the first to operate an omni-channel structure. Considering the dynamics of the sector, the dream is to ensure that Konga store is visible at least in each of 774 Local Government Area of Nigeria in the next few years. This dream is real and we are pushing strongly for it.

“Also, Konga has earned its costumers trust by ensuring that the platform is associated with only genuine products. We have put a strong process in place to ensure quality check of goods when on boarding and also after sellers have boarded,” he enthused.

The Nigeria Sales Conference, which was attended by over 2000 professionals, was organized to improve capacity and salesmanship among participants. The event witnessed masterclasses and incisive presentations from a host of world class resource persons.
