Buhari Appoints 18 New Permanent Secretaries, Redeploys Others

BUHARI-SPEAKS-AT-UNHours after sacking President Goodluck Jonathan-appointed 18 Permanent Secretaries in the nation’s civil service, President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday approved the appointment of 18 new Permanent Secretaries to fill the vacuum. According to the President’s Media Adviser, Femi Adesina, the new appointments and deployments are with effect from November 10, 2015.

The President Buhari had earlier in the day directed 18 permanent secretaries who were appointed by the immediate past administration to proceed on compulsory retirement.

The new perm secretaries are:

  3. Mr. Taiwo Abidogun
  4. Dr. Bukar Hassan
  5. Mrs. Wakama Belema Asifieka

  8. Mrs. Obiageli Phyllis Nwokedi
  9. Mr. Aminu Nabegu
