Ehumabe said that the company had laid fibre optic cable from Europe to Nigeria, adding that such facility would ensure better bandwidth connectivity.

He said Globacom had become an international brand and that the management was doing all it could to ensure it maintained that lofty status.

“We are doing so much in data services in order to offer our customers excellent services.

“We were the first to offer per second billing that has led to the revolution in the industry in the country,” the official said.

Ehumabe said that the company would not go to sleep until every Nigerian and African had telecommunication at their finger tips.

He said that the company had a long standing and strong relationship with the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Mines, Industry and Agriculture (ECCIMA).

According to him, the partnership with ECCIMA has been very successful and the company sustains the collaboration.

Earlier, President of the Chamber, Mr Emeka Udeze, said that Globacom as the foremost private and indigenous telecommunication industry in Nigeria had made a remarkable impact in the industry.

Udeze, however, urged the company to further improve on its services.

“There is still room for improvement.’’

The official said that the chamber was happy to have a reliable partner in Globacom, adding that it was their wish that such relationship continued.
