Iheanacho Scores as Nigeria Beat Mali

super eaglesIt took Kelechi Iheanacho’s 77th minute goal for Nigeria to beat a resilient Mali national team in a friendly match in France Friday night. Iheanacho who arrived the Eagles camp late thus saved Nigeria blushes when he came in a substitute to score his first senior international goal for his country.

The young lad rated as Europe’s deadliest striker this past season on a minute to goal ratio ahead of Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez and his Manchester City team mate Aguero continued his dazzling goal scoring form barely three minutes after coming on for Alex Iwobi in the 74th minute.

The friendly is part of the Nigeria’s preparation ahead of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers coming up later in the year.

The Eagles were captained by Ogenyi Onazi and featured the likes of Alex Iwobi, Moses Simon, Babatunde Michael, Brown Ideye, Odion Ighalo and Carl Ikeme. They face Luxembourg on Tuesday, 31 May .
