India, South East Asians ready to invest more in Nigeria

The Nigeria High Commission in India has organised an investment forum for potential investors and the business class in India and South East Asia to enhance Foreign Direct Investment in Nigeria. Participants at the forum said they were now encouraged to come and invest in Nigeria.
Nigerian High Commissioner to India, Maj.-Gen. Chris Eze (Rtd), said this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Abuja.
Eze said the forum held at the Nigeria House in Delhi, showcased available opportunities across the six geo political zones of the country.
“It showcased the abundant human and natural resources in solid minerals, oil and non-oil abound in the country for selected Indian Micro, Medium and Small Enterprises,” he said.
According to him, the event had in attendance, former India’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Amb. Mahesh Sachdev, who served for five years and wrote a book on doing business in Nigeria
“Also in attendance was the Chairman of Skipper Nigeria Ltd, Mr Jitendra Sachdeva, who spoke about his practical experience of doing business in Nigeria for more than 20 years.
“The President of Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry and some Indian companies, who are doing businesses in Nigeria also participated in the forum through a video conference link.
“The ambassadors of Rwanda, Ghana, Zambia and the Gambia also attended the investment forum,” he said
