Mosque massacre averted in Maiduguri as two female suicide bombers die in dawn attack

Two female suicide bombers with improvised explosives  strapped to their bodies self-destroyed themselves early Saturday as they attempted to enter a mosque at Juddumuri Village, in Maiduguri.

Worshippers at the mosque located  after the Federal High Court, effectively blocked the dark angels of death from entering the mosque at about 5.21 a.m

One of the bombers in frustration detonated her vest, killing herself and her bomber  colleague. Five of the worshippers were however injured.  The injured  were first administered with first aid.

The injured were rushed to the Maiduguri Specialist Hospital, while the remains of the suicide bombers were equally evacuated by SEMA, said deputy superintendent of Police Isuku Victor, the  PPRO Borno.

The second sound was the blast from the unexploded IED from the second explosion, which was detonated by the command’s EOD team at the scene.
