Nigeria discharges 9 coronavirus patients as confirmed cases rises to 139

Nigeria has successfully treated and discharged 9 coronavirus patients , even as the number of confirmed cases rises to 139 after four new cases were discovered.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed the new figures in a tweet on Tuesday in its latest update.

According to the NCDC, of the new cases, three were confirmed in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) while one was discovered in Lagos.

“The centre noted that contact tracing is ongoing to identify those who came in contact with confirmed cases. While in self-isolation, the contacts are monitored daily for 14 days”.
