Olu of Warri, Uduaghan Commend Okowa on projects development in Warri

DELTA State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, Tuesday engaged in commissioned series of projects in Warri North and Warri South local government areas of Delta State, saying, his administration was committed to executing more projects across the state.

Among the projects commissioned are, the Iwere College road, access road to Awaritse Industrial Park, Obite-Ugbo and Korobe road in Warri North local government area. Also commissioned in the area, was Alema Modern College which is located at the home town of Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan,  his predecessor at Abigborodo.

He also commissioned the Ugbuwangue/NPA bye-pass, rehabilitated Okere/Ugborikoko road, Frank Omare Crescent and the Esiri Street in Warri South local government area and inspected projects in Uvwie local government area of the state.

The Governor who also paid courtesy call on the Olu of Warri, HRM Ogiame Ikenwoli commended the people for their support to his administration, observing that executing the projects was possible because of the people’s peaceful disposition and reception of developmental programmes.

“I am glad that we are in Warri in continuation of our commissioning of projects, we are happy that the projects are impacting on the lives of the people, we will continue to do more to touch lives positively, the lives of our people,” Governor Okowa said.

He added, “we are aware that development is not limited to physical infrastructure alone, that is why we are developing our youths, empowering our youths to be wealth creators.”

At the Palace of the Olu of Warri, the Governor assured the King that his administration recognises him as the only King in His kingdom.

Former Governor Uduaghan had at the Commissioning of Alema College, Abigborodo, commended Governor Okowa for his commitment to providing infrastructure across the state while the Olu of Warri in an address, said, “as we thank and appreciate you (Governor Okowa) for the good you have so far done, we pray that God will grant you the grace to do and achieve more.”

In a brief speech, the Chairman of Warri South local government, Hon. Michael Tidi, said, “your (Governor Okowa) commitment to the development of Warri, returning the oil city to its old glory which has earned you the nick name, Road Master can only earn you second term to continue with your good works.’
