Cristiano Ronaldo showed the sterner stuff more than his Real Madrid team-mate, Gareth Bale, as Portugal beat Wales 2-0 in their semi-final fixture to march to the finals.  Ronaldo opened the scoring in the second half with a typical decisive header. He was almost netting a second goal but the loose ball was guided into the net who was also fantastic on the night. .

Portugal will face either hosts France or Germany, who play each other in the second semi-final match  Thursday. For both teams, this has been dubbed a final before the final as they are established power houses in European football
