A medical laboratory scientist, Oluroju Shola, has been docked at an Upper Area Court Gwagwalada, Abuja for allegedly exposing his ex-girlfriend’s nude pictures.

The police charged Shola of Kwamba Suleja, Niger State with criminal breach of trust, intimidation and defamation of character.

The Prosecution Counsel, Abdullahi Tanko told the court that the complainant, Barnabas Janet of old Kutunku Gwagwalada reported the matter at the Gwagwalada Police Station on April 17.

Tanko said that the defendant and complainant had been in a relationship since 2021 and they both agreed to have some private pictures and videos.

He said that they also agreed not to make the pictures public, adding that when the complainant opted out of the relationship the defendant threatened to post the private pictures.

He said that the defendant later posted the private pictures against the complainant’s wish.

The prosecutor said that the offence contravened the provision of Sections 312, 397 and 391 of the Penal Code.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Judge, Malam Abdullahi Abdulkarim admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N1 million with one reasonable surety in like sum.

Abdulkarim ordered that the surety must reside within the jurisdiction of the court and must provide valid means of identification.

He adjourned the case until June 4 for hearing. (NAN)
