The gale of defection sweeping through Edo Central Senatorial District has continued unabated with the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the receiving end.
The latest of such defection is a prominent leader of the APC, Chief Francis Inegbeneki, the Uzoya of Esan land, who has now dumped the party and threw his weight behind the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Barr. Asue Ighodalo.
The defection marks a crucial development in the ongoing political realignments within Edo State. The APC, which has been grappling with internal conflicts and power struggles, now faces a fresh challenge with the departure of yet another key regional leader.
