Edo 2024: Ighodalo holds town hall meeting with Edo indigenes in Lagos
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the September 21 governorship election in Edo State, Dr Asue Ighodalo, will on Sunday meet with indigenes of the state who are resident in Lagos at the Sheba Centre along Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Maryland, at 3 pm.
This is part of his Town Hall Meeting ahead of the election in about 28 days.
A source familiar with the event confided in our Correspondent that ” it is in line with our resolve to keep our dear Edo people in Lagos involved in the conversation about the future of our beloved Edo State. So we are calling on all sons and daughters of Edo State in Lagos to meet with Dr Asue Ighodalo on Sunday. We’re very sure they will be glad they did because it promises to help them make up their minds on the forthcoming election in the state,” the source vouched.
The Lagos Town Hall Meeting is coming on the heels of highly successful similar engagements with Edo Diaspora in three United States cities of Houston, Atlanta and New York between August 12 to 16 where Ighodalo shared in details, his vision and plans for the state, succinctly captured in the “Pathway to Prosperity for All” manifesto with the people.
The Edo Diaspora Communities in Europe, the United States and elsewhere are considered as very critical stakeholders in whatever goes on back home, especially politics as they influence to a large extent the direction people back home should go.
The Edo Diaspora in Europe and the United States have already endorsed Ighodalo following the various engagements as the most competent, most prepared and fit to be governor of the state from November 12.
