Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike has continued to flirt with opposition parties and persons who felt aggrieved with the way he lost out in the PDP presidential primaries as well as vice presidential candidate slot of the party.

Amid efforts by the PDP to fend fences with Wike, the Rivers governor has continued to host members of the opposition parties including APC and Labour Party, the two main challengers to the PDP ticket.

On Monday, Wike met with the LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi and other politicians in Port Harcourt.

Also at the meeting which took place on Monday night at Wike’s private residence in Port Harcourt is the former governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko.

Wike also hosted former Cross River Governor, Donald Duke, an anti-Atiku Abubakar campaigner; Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom; Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, and Gombe State ex-governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo among others.

Top PDP sources said Wike’s open romance with opposition parties and a clique from the PDP has unsettled nerves within the party and has divided the PDP into many parts.

While some PDP members wants the party to call Wike’s bluff and ignore his” anti-party acts”, some others insist the party must do everything possible to bring him back into the fold.

On Twitter, Tuesday, Mimiko shared a photo with the politicians, saying that it was nice to spend some time with them.

“Nice to share some time last night with @GovWike @Donald_Duke @PeterObi @HEDankwambo @GovSamuelOrtom, @GovernorIkpeazu, Mohammed Adoke SAN and many other friends,” he tweeted.
