ICPC Recovers Funds From 38 Abandoned Constituency Projects In Yobe, Borno States

July 11, 2025

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Borno and Yobe State Command, have successfully recovered funds from thirty eight abandoned constituency projects.

The projects are said to have either been poorly executed or failed to meet contractual standards.

The Borno State Deputy Director of the Commission, Linus Madashi, stated this during a media parley in Maiduguri as part of activities to mark the 2025 African Anti-Corruption Day.

According to Madashi, the recovery exercise targeted funds misappropriated, diverted or underutilised by contractors and public officials responsible for the implementation of constituency projects in both Borno and Yobe States.
