Deputy governor slumps in office, rushed to hospital

The Deputy Governor of Bayelsa state, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, has reportedly collapsed and was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yenagoa on Thursday afternoon.
He was said to have slumped around 1:30 pm in his office, and was rushed to the hospital’s emergency unit.
Barely an hour later, Senator Ewhrudjakpo was said to have been stabilized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at FMC and was responding to treatment.
The incident has led to security cordon of his office and the section of the hospital where he is being treated.
Inside sources said the deputy governor has no history of cardiac disorder, Some attributed the development to his busy schedule.
