European football has a new sensation, Nigeria’s Yohanna and Brighton may get him from Swedish club AIK

Brighton lead chase for highly-rated winger, 18, who is valued at £18m and has also been watched by Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund
Premier League side Brighton are in talks over a move for AIK’s high-flying 18-year-old Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna currently valued at £18 million.
Yohanna joined the Swedish club from the Ikon Allah academy in Kaduna, northern Nigeria last summer and has quickly established himself as a footballer with huge capacity and potential.
Aside Brighton, it was reported that Chelsea and Tottenham have also kept their eyes on the teenager who has registered two goals and two assists for his club in seven matches.
Reports also say that Real Madrid, Rennes, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund have also sent scouts to watch the left-footed winger who plays on the right.
Indeed, during April’s clash with Kalmar FF, there were 32 scouts at the game all credited with interest in Yohanna, reports UK Mailonline.
He was called up to represent Nigeria last month but AIK blocked him from joining the national camp for the Unity Cup saying he needed to fully recover from an injury.
Brighton, with their knack of unearthing gems, have jumped to the front of the queue and there is confidence a deal will be concluded.
Yohanna may be persuaded by the presence of another Nigerian in Brighton football. Chiamaka Nnadozie, Nigeria’s undisputed female goal-keeper plays for Brighton female team.
Yohanna has drawn attention for his speed and technical ability with coach Jose Riveiro hailing his ability in one-on-one situations. They are looking for a club record sale of around £18-20million.
Brighton, who have had clubs showing interest in their wingers Kaoru Mitoma and Yankuba Minteh, are losing James Milner from their squad after he opted to hang up his boots.
Brighton offered Milner another year on his contract this summer but the midfielder opted to retire.
The Seagulls also allowed Adam Webster to leave as a free agent as they maintain interest in signing Toulouse defender Charlie Cresswell. The England U21 international is valued around £25m.
