Ooni congratulates Olubukola Babajide who made King’s honours list in UK
Babajide, Founder of Crystal Options Ltd and Female Techpreneur, was named in the 2026 King’s Birthday Honours List and recognised for her outstanding services to technology, business and inclusion.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has described Olubukola Babajide, as a shining example of Nigerian excellence whose achievements continue to project the country’s positive image on the global stage.
Babajide, Founder of Crystal Options Ltd and Female Techpreneur, was named in the 2026 King’s Birthday Honours List and recognised for her outstanding services to technology, business and inclusion.
In a congratulatory message on Sunday in Ile-Ife by the Director of Media and Public Affairs, Ooni’s Palace, Mr Moses Olafare, the traditional ruler congratulated Babajide’s appointment as a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).
”The honour is a well-deserved recognition of Babajide’s years of dedication, innovation and commitment to empowering individuals and communities through technology and entrepreneurship.
”Babajide’s recognition as a member of the Order of the British Empire is a source of immense pride not only to Nigerians at home and abroad but also to the entire African continent.
“Her remarkable contributions to technology, business development and social inclusion have earned her this prestigious honour and have demonstrated the limitless potential of Nigerians when given the opportunity to excel,” the Ooni stated.
Oba Ogunwusi commended Babajide for her unwavering commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion within the technology ecosystem, while creating opportunities for women, young professionals and underrepresented groups to thrive in the digital economy.
According to him, her accomplishments serves as an inspiration to the younger generation, particularly young women aspiring to build successful careers in science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Ooni noted that Babajide’s journey reflects the values of hard work, resilience, excellence and service to humanity, virtues that continue to earn global recognition and respect.
