A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Rotimi Akeredolu has emerged the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State in the party’s primary election which held in Akure, Ondo State.
Jigawa State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar Badaru, who chaired the election committee of the party, announced Mr. Akeredolu as the winner of the poll which stretched into the night.
Governor Badaru described the conduct of the APC primary election as transparent and credible. He pleaded with all the losers to close ranks and team up with Akeredolu to defeat the PDP in the forthcoming governorship election. The other aspirants were Chief Olusola Oke, Dr Segun Abraham, and Senator Ajayi Boroffice.
