Ambode Hails Police for rescuing Barbington school girls

ambode1Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has commended the Police Force, over what he described as their courage in ensuring that the three female students of Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary (BMJS), Agunfoye-Lugbusi, Ikorodu, abducted last Monday in their hostels, got a timely rescue.

The state’s Commissioner for Information & Strategy, in a tweet on Sunday, via his Twitter handle, @stevoree said: “The three abducted school girls in Ikorodu have been rescued by the Police. Lagos is working. Governor Akinwunmi Ambode salutes the courage of the Police.”

The girls were abducted from their hostel in the wee hours of Monday but Commissioner of Police Fatai Owoseni and his men swung into action combing the area supported by aerial surveillance. The result is the rescue of the girls to the joy of their distraught parents and school authorities.
