The Commander 35 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Mohammed Tajudeen Aminu has handed over 365 pieces of Pawpaw size wrapped Cannabis Sativa weighing about 176kg to the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, Ogun State Command.

In a statement by the Army on Saturday by the brigade’s spokesman, Lt. Mohammed Goni, the Garrison Commander, Col. Legborsi Nule, represented the Brigade Commander, Brig.-Gen. Mohammed Aminu, to hand the contraband over to the anti-narcotics agency.

He said the Brigade will continue to sustain all efforts in collaborating with other security agencies to rid the State of crimes.

Col. Nule further reiterated the Brigade’s commitment to ensuring troops maintain high standard and professionalism at all times in discharging their duties.

The suspect was arrested by troops on routine patrol on 6 January 2024 at Olodo Imeko along Imeko – Abeokuta road in Ogun state.

The Commandant NDLEA Ogun State Command, Commander of Narcotics Jane Ibiba Odili commended the effort of the Brigade and solicited more collaboration with the military, as well as other security agencies in the State.
