A statement signed by the Director of Security, Cabinet Office, Abdulrahman Zagga, in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday, stated that the victims and the stolen livestock were from Kokanawa and Ukuhu communities in Danko/ Wasagu Local Government Area of the state.

He stated that the operation was carried out on the directive of Gov. Nasir Idris, following reports of the incident.

“The security team tracked the bandits to the Zamfara River area, where they rescued the victims and recovered the rustled cattle.

“The bandits fled during the operation, and the rescued victims have since been reunited with their families,” Zagga said.

He expressed appreciation to the Governor for his consistent support to security agencies, noting that the Governor’s promise of a security base would yield positive result in Zuru Emirate.

Zagga also commended the security operatives for their dedication and bravery.

“My special appreciation goes to the Governor for his unwavering commitment to addressing security challenges across the state, especially in Zuru Emirate and Lakurawa in Argungu Emirate.

“I also extend gratitude to our gallant security personnel who work tirelessly day and night to keep Kebbi State safe,” the director said.
