Boko Haram militants have attacked Mildo community in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State, killing seven people. It was a midnight raid which residents said took them unawares.

Several others were said to be injured in the attack during which witnesses said they counted seven corpses.

The attackers were said to have invaded the sleepy community with guns, cudgels and other  dangerous weapons. Madagali was under the control of Boko Haram in their heady days before a resurgent military onslaught chased them away.
