Breaking News: Yudala, Nigeria’s Largest Retail Chain, Activates Online Division

Admin August 30, 2015

Yudala on Rolls-RoyceA Yudala-branded Rolls Royce Phantom stationed by the entrance to the Murtala Muhammed Airport Two (MMA2) in Ikeja, Lagos was not only symbolic, it tells the story of distinction and peerless quality of service delivery that awaits customers who would be taking advantage of the emerging online retail revolution taking off in Lagos this Monday.

Yudala is Nigeria’s first true composite retail chain, which recently successfully launched its Offline Division with official commissioning of two Experience Stores at Medical Road, Ikeja and The Palms, Lekki as well as two Smart stores on Idowu Martins Street, Victoria Island and Redemption Crescent, Gbagada, it will Monday activate its Online Division in Gbagada, Lagos.

The activation of the Online division will trigger a new experience in online shopping across the nation, and in keeping with the promise of the management of the composite retail platform that Yudala Online will go live this month with a promise of bigger deals and unprecedented discounts.

Vice President, Yudala Retail Stores, Mr. Stanley Uzoechina said the activation of the online division is an icing on the cake for all categories of shoppers and 21st Century gadgeteers as they would experience real time delivery of products backed with global warranty and matchless industry-standard support.

“Just as the Rolls-Royce is a special breed of automobile both in design and precision engineering with bespoke options so is Yudala Online concept specially designed to match the taste of men, women and families who value quality products delivered real time without worries”, Says Uzoechina, stressing that Yudala stands out from other online retail stores with its commitment to making sure that customers get real value for their time and money.

Recently, the chain store opened its offline divisions with aplomb in a ceremony that featured a colourful road show, and attracted dignitaries from different sectors of the economy including the bank and the media.

According to the Group Managing Director and CEO of Access Bank Plc., Herbert Wigwe who cut the tape to officially open the Experience Store at The Palms, Yudala is truly a retail revolution worth partnering with.

“I am delighted to be here today to witness the launch of Yudala. The ambience is world class which gives a lot of hope that young Nigerian entrepreneurs are redefining standards. There is a lot to be excited about especially when you consider the huge impact Yudala will have on small businesses and households in the informal sector. We must also not lose sight of the potential effects on the Nigerian economy in extension. At Access Bank, we are empowering and expanding the capacity of SMEs and the emergence of Yudala certainly provides many areas of partnership which will undoubtedly rub off positively on this crucial sector,” he told the audience.

This was also underscored by the Publisher, Vanguard Newspapers, Mr. Sam Amuka, who cut the tape to usher in the guests and throngs of enthusiastic visitors at the Ikeja outlet.

“I must commend the ingenious inspiration behind the Yudala dream. Nigeria is ripe for the revolution in retail business which Yudala offers. Indeed, this is an idea whose time has come. The combination of an online shopping platform with retail stores in various locations in the country is a game-changer and will definitely open up previously unexplored possibilities and convenience for many Nigerians. We must also not forget the potential effect on the Nigerian economy through the numerous employment opportunities this business model will create. Yudala is a business with an eye on the future and I dare-say, we must all embrace it.”
