Buhari has turned Nigeria to animal kingdom – Femi Okurounmu

Admin October 18, 2016

femi-okurounmuSenator Femi Okurounmu  who was Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee on National Conference in 2014, Senator Femi Okurounmu, has condemned the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, describing it as worse than that of Goodluck Jonathan.

According to the usually outspoken Senator Buhari  has turned Nigeria into an animal kingdom by devaluing  human dignity among the people and making Nigerians more distressed than  their peers from smaller and less endowed nations.

The Senator campaigned against Buhari in 2015 and he had warned of the danger of Nigerians electing the former dictator.  According to him, Buhari lacks the knowledge to turn around the economy, stressing that the current hardship in the land is beyond the crash in the price of crude oil but more in the fact that the Buhari government cannot innovatively add any value to the economy.

The 2014 National Conference, described as one of the best national engagements in the nation’s history because of the quality of debate, members and the no-holds-barred manner the debates went, produced a document that called for restructuring of the nation. Many have called for the implementation of the recommendations of the conference including Senator Okorounmu but President Buhari has said he was yet to read the document let alone implement it.

The Senator recalled campaigning for Jonathan because, according to him, he was the best man to implement the recommendations of the conference which most Nigerians agreed was the first major surgery to be performed on the nation to patch up the cracks and set it on the path of recovery.
