Members of the civil society groups have taken to the streets protesting the incessant killings in various parts of the country, demanding accountability from the government.

The groups on Friday gathered in front of the National Human Rights Commission in Abuja, for a walk tagged “Day of Mourning”.

They displayed placards with inscriptions such as “End kidnapping,” “Nigerians Lives Matter,” and “I stand for Rights to Life” , “#Nigeria bleeds” among others.

This is even as Nigerians have taken to Twitter to condemn the recent unconfirmed report of killings in Benue State on Thursday night, with hashtags: #BenueUnderAttack, #Enoughisenough.
