COVID-19: Active cases in Nigeria now 277 as total number of infections rises to 442

Coronavirus active cases  in Nigeria are now 277,  as the total number of cases rises  to 442.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) gave the figures on Thursday night in  Twitter message.

It said that by 10:20p.m. on April 16, there were 35 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in four states  – 19 in Lagos, nine in FCT, five in Kano State and two in Oyo State.

The agency said that 152 patients  have been discharged and 13 deaths recorded.

“As at 10:20p.m. on April 16, Lagos had a total of 251 confirmed COVID-19 cases, while  FCT and Kano  have 67 and 21 cases, respectively,” it said.

Thirty-five new cases of #COVID19 have been reported as follows:

19 in Lagos
9 in FCT
5 in Kano
2 in Oyo

As at 10:20 pm 16th April there are 442 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 152 have been discharged with 13 deaths
