Dangote Cement Explores Secondary Listing on London Stock Exchange
Dangote Cement PLC has announced that it is in the preliminary stages of considering a secondary listing on the London Stock Exchange (LSE). The move is aimed at expanding the company’s access to international capital and diversifying its global investor base.
While the cement giant confirmed its interest in the dual listing, it noted that specific terms and a definitive timeline have not yet been established.
According to a statement released on May 12, the completion of the deal remains subject to favorable market conditions, as well as the necessary corporate and regulatory approvals.
“There is no certainty that the proposed listing will be completed or, if completed, as to the terms or timing thereof,” stated Company Secretary Edward Imoedemhe.
In the interim, Dangote Cement has advised shareholders and the general public to exercise caution when trading the company’s securities until further official updates are provided.
