Dasuki Free to Travel, Court Rules, Orders DSS to Release His Travel Documents

ex-nsa_sambo_dasuki_in_federal_high_court_abujaJustice Ademola Adeniyi of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, has ordered the Department of State Services (DSS) to allow former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd), to travel out of the country for medical treatment.

In his ruling, the Judge queried, “What is wrong in the defendant travelling and coming back to face trial?” stressing that “only a fit person can stand for trial and investigation,”

He therefore ordered that his travel documents be released by the DSS forthwith, insisting “My own orders will not be flouted.”

Justice Ademola also told M.S. Labaran, counsel to the DSS, to tell his client to immediately comply with the November 3 order of the court, saying “Court order must be obeyed.

The former NSA, Dasuki had approached the court to plead for the enforcement of its earlier order of November 3 that he could travel for three weeks for medicare.
