Delta Govt House Chapel Holds Carols, End of year Special Thanksgiving

The Delta State Government House Chapel, Asaba held its 2024 Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols and end of the year special thanksgiving, reverencing the birth of Jesus Christ, the reason for the Season.

The Governor of Delta State took the first Lesson, while the first lady of the state and founder, ‘You Matter Charity Foundation’, Deaconess Tobore  Oborevwori took the Second Lesson of the Festival held at the Government House Chapel, Asaba.

The State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme took the third lesson at the event, which was an avenue for the people to appreciate God Almighty for His benevolence in the year 2023.

The festival was laced with praise and worship, thanking God for His protection, provision and mercy.

The Nine Carols were rendered by the Scintillating and heavenly voices of the Chapel’s Choir supported by St.Peter’s Anglican Church Choir.

In his Sermon, The Chaplain of Government House Chapel Venerable Charles Osemene spoke on giving.

He noted that God loves a cheerful giver, urging all to imbibe the spirit of giving in order to better the society.
