EDO 2024: Asue Ighodalo group mops support with visits to markets

Admin May 4, 2024

A pro-Asue Ighodalo group, Afemai Coalition for Asue Ighodalo, embarked on a series of market visits across Etsako West Local Government Area, beginning with the bustling Jattu Market.

In addition to Jattu Market, the group also visited four other markets: Ughele, Igbei, Uchi, and Utsokwili modern markets.

During these visits, the group engaged with market women, discussing the qualities and vision of Asue Ighodalo, as well as his support for various groups and projects across Edo North. The market women expressed excitement about the visits and commended the group for remembering them.

They particularly appreciated Asue Ighodalo’s efforts, such as providing a medical doctor at the Utsokwili Primary Health Care Centre and donating N5 million to the Auchi community during Auchi Day 2024 for the purchase of a sanitation truck.

The women found Asue Ighodalo’s various experiences and achievements in the private sector, as well as his philanthropic activities, to be very inspiring.

On an early Saturday morning, the team visited Utsokwili market and participated in their scheduled sanitation activities. Cleaning items were also donated to ensure sustained housekeeping.

The visit was warmly appreciated, with one of the markets commending the team as the first from any leading candidate in any election cycle to have visited them. This gesture underscores Asue Ighodalo’s commitment to engaging with all stakeholders and demonstrates his genuine care for the community.
