Comrade Anthony Okechukwu, one of the youths killed by security men at the Lekki, Lagos Toll Plaza protest ground was a fresh graduate  of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State  where he studied Human Resource Management.

Friends described him as handsome, loving, caring and always willing to make a sacrifice. Instructively, he died on the sacrificial slab fighting for justice, equity and a total reform of the police.

One of his friends, Bright Chimezie wrote: “It’s so saddening that Anthony is no more. He laid his life fighting for the betterment of this wayward country. You’re killing people with the Nigerian Flag. You’re killing people reciting the national anthem,” he wrote in stout defiance to the security personnel.

Another friend, Sunday Chukwuemeka Joseph said: Your blood will speak against injustice, corruption and Genocide. I was told your last words were PEACE and UNITY. Rest on my brother in the Aluta Struggle! You are a HERO.”
