#EndSARS: Hoodlums torch Oile Police Station, DPO escapes

Admin October 20, 2020

#EndSARS protest is assuming more dangerous dimension in Lagos as miscreants cashed in on the protest to set ablaze Orile Police station in Lagos.

The hoodlums besieged the station some armed with clubs and bottles.

It was gathered that the station was set ablaze from its backend by a gang identified as “Adeleye Boys”  said to be notorious in the area.

Some of the hoodlums made reference to high handedness by the Divisional Police Officer, CSP  Daniel Folashade, and her team whom residents of Orile said had been hard on the area boys.

The police station was built by the Raji Fashola government in 2012 in accordance with UN specification.

It was not clear if arrests had been made but bystanders said those who set the police station ablaze were not protesters by Area Boys from the neighbourhood.
