Have faith in God, even me I’m a product of a once grieving mother – Adeboye

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the popular General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, worldwide has disclosed that he was a product of a grieving mother whom God consoled after a major loss.

In his sermon at the November Holy Ghost Service, a flagship monthly prayer night of the church, broadcast worldwide, the highly respected Mathematics professor-turned pastor said God is always in the business of restoration of lost hope, lost opportunities and lost glory.

He said: “I know of a woman who had three daughters and one son, after which she decided to stop child-bearing. Suddenly, her only son died and she was inconsolable. Many people tried to pacify her and suggested that she should at least try and have another baby, may be that baby would turn out to be a another male child.

She would not give heed but later reluctantly decided to try. She did and God surprised her with another replacement of a male child. That woman is my mother and that child happens to be me,” he told a worldwide audience.

Speaking on the theme: Swimming in Glory (Part 8), Adeboye said God has a replacement for every loss suffered by His children, stressing that the same God that consoled his mother with another male child is still in the business of replacing any loss suffered by His children.

He urged humanity to draw closer to God, stressing that some of the challenges that assail man are consequences of Godlessness.

Rousing hope and faith in God among the audience, he said nothing is too hard for God to do including deliverance from the worst sickness, worst poverty, and worst sin. He cited the case of Saul who referred to himself as chief sinner but who later was transformed by God to chief Apostle.
