My father helped many people, but they abandoned my family – BBNaija Cross

Cross, real name Ikechukwu Sunday Okonkwo, of BBNaija has bared his heart, lamenting how his rich father’s friends abandoned his family after his sudden death.

Cross is the son of the once famous Christopher Ikechukwu Okonkwo, alias Ezego (King of Money),  then a Lagos-based businessman and philanthropist who died in 1999 in a freak automobile accident close to his Ihiala home in Anambra state.

During his Diary session, Cross told Big Brother that his father helped many people while he was alive and made them millionaires, but said he was shocked that after his father’s demise, none of his friends that he helped supported his family.

“My Dad when he was alive was kind-hearted. He was there for both family and friends but after his death, his friends were not there for me and my siblings,” he recounts emotionally.

He said he would love to build a church for his mother, Evangelist Uji Grace Okonkwo, where she can preach and propagate her message of love to humanity.

“Our mother is someone who preaches love. I want to build her a church where she can preach love to people,” he said.
