FG to Launch ‘Green Imperative’ to Boost Agricultural Production in Nigeria

The Federal Government in partnership with the Government of Brazil will on Thursday, 17th January formally launch “The Green Imperative” at a ceremony to be held at Old Banquet, State House, Abuja.

In a statement by Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity
Office of the Vice President, the initiative aimed at boosting agricultural production in Nigeria, is also known as the Nigeria-Brazil Agricultural Development Programme and tagged “The Green Imperative”.

“The initiative will amongst other things entail the introduction of advanced Brazilian Agricultural Equipment (ABIMAQ) and the establishment of Training Centres for Nigerian Farmers across the country”.

The Vice President will formerly launch the initiative.
