Sarina Wiegman and Burna Boy
England female national team coach, Sarina Wiegman, and winner of the Best Female Award at the 2025 Ballon d’Or awards night in Paris, has expressed her wish to have a dance once again with Nigerian Afro beat sensation, Buna Boy.
Sarina, a huge fan of Burna Boy during her acceptance speech said “If Burna is around maybe we could do a little bit of dancing too”, a statement that sparked loud laughter across the ballroom.
She last celebrated with Burna Boy during England’s victory parade after winning the Women’s Euros when Burna Boy was invited to perform.
An elated Sarina danced all through the show with Burna Boy, singing along with the global Afrobeat icon.
Minutes after Sarina’s comment went viral, Burna responded in a tweet saying “Haha, I’m up for it Sarina! A huge congrats to you and the team @Lionesses.”
