Kidnapped House member, Durbunde, regains freedom

The member of the House of Representatives, representing Sumaila/Takai federal constituency of Kano State, Garba Durbunde, who was abducted has been released. He was released about 5pm on Wednesday after senior security operatives and the leadership of the House of Representatives negotiated his freedom with his captors.
It was not clear how much ransom was paid but informed sources confirmed that Hon Durbunde is now a free man. He was picked up by his driver after he was let go by his captors.
