LASG says Letters of Administration necessary in management of property of  persons who died intestate

Lagos State Government has underscored the importance of Letters of Administration in the management of the property of deceased persons who died intestate, just as it noted with dismay the attitude of most residents of the State to the document.

The State Administrator-General and Public Trustees, Mr. Dawodu Oladehinde said “The Letter of Administration also allows beneficiaries to gain access to the wealth of the deceased, especially from financial institutions and insurance companies”.

“Those who do not know how to go about the Letter of Administration can contact the office of the Administrator-General and Public Trustee under the Ministry of Justice at Block 3, Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja or call the Office landline on 01 453 1820 for assistance”, he stated.
