LASRRA Urges Residents to Register For Adequate Provision of Infrastructure

Admin January 8, 2019

The General Manager Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA), Mrs. Olukemi Adelusi, has urged all those who are yet to register with the Agency to come forward and register to help the government make adequate provision for infrastructure and create a reliable database of all residents of the State.

She made the call as Guest on a live programme on Traffic Radio 96.1 FM “Side mirror”, saying that residents who have registered should go and pick their permanent cards, as there is a backlog of unclaimed cards at the Agency.

The General Manager reiterated that the residents’ identity card would soon be upgraded into an E-Business card with multiple uses, in line with the plan to rebrand the State Residents Registration Agency for effective and efficient service delivery and increase the number of registered residents of Lagos State.

While stressing the importance of registration to enable government plan for residents, Adelusi said that the Agency will continue its massive public enlightenment and sensitisation at the grassroots across the five divisions of State.

She implored unregistered residents to come forward for the exercise and not wait until the need for the card arises, noting that registration is still ongoing at all Local Governments, Local Council Development Areas and LASRRA Head Office.
