Pastor Paul Adefarasin’s House on the Rock church along airport road in Abuja was caught up in a fiery inferno on Sunday, but firemen and well-wishers have stopped the raging fire.
The fire was said to have started early Sunday afternoon and defied initial efforts by worshippers and passersby to quench it. It took the efforts of firemen to stop the billows of fire which tore through the building despite the rain.
No details had been given as to the cause of the fire.
