Manchester City have most players in World Cup

MANCHESTER CITY have yet another title to brag about… as they have sent more players than any other club to this summer’s World Cup. Pep Guardiola will see 16 of his stars jet off to Russia – more than any other European giant, reports UK tabloid, The Sun.

City’s tally even betters La Liga duo Real Madrid (15) and Barcelona (14) – as well as Paris Saint-Germain (12). Chelsea and Tottenham are each  also sending a dozen players to this summer’s World Cup.

Meanwhile, Juventus, Manchester United and Bayern Munich will see 11 players fly out to Russia in the coming days.

Atletico Madrid round-off the list with nine players heading to the tournament – with Liverpool and Arsenal surprise absentees in the top ten.

Amazingly, City’s sky-high total of 16 could – and perhaps should – have been higher.

On Monday it was revealed Leroy Sane had been dropped by Germany boss Joachim Low – with the world left baffled.

However, they will see the likes of Kyle Walker, Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus, Nicolas Otamendi, Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne strut their stuff around Russia.

John Stones, Vincent Kompany, Ederson, Danilo, Fernandinho, Fabian Delph, Benjamin Mendy, Ilkay Gundogan, Bernardo Silva and David Silva will also be on show.
