Mrs. Beatrice Ekweremadu, jailed wife of ex-Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike  Ekweremadu,  has caused a stir at Mpu community market in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State wife as news of her return to Nigeria wafted through the sleepy community.

It will be recalled that Senator Ekweremadu, his wife, and one Dr. Obinna Obeta were sentenced by a UK court over charges related to organ harvesting.

While the former Deputy Senate President received a 10-year prison sentence, his wife was sentenced to six years by a UK court.

Her return Wednesday sparked jubilant celebrations in the community as people especially women were seen in viral videos chanting her name and thanking God for her return.
