NCDC confirms discharge, recovery of 2,311 COVID-19 patients in Nigeria as cases surpass 8,000

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed the discharge and recovery of 2,311 coronavirus patients in the country.

The NCDC disclosed this on Monday night in a Twitter message.

According to the Centre, on the 25th of May 2020, 229 new confirmed cases in 15 States and 7 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.

It however noted in its COVID-19 State situation report here also published on Monday night that, though no new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours, till date, 8068 cases have been confirmed, 2311 cases have been discharged and 233 deaths have been recorded in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
