The General Assembly of Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) has suspended the federation’s immediate-past president, Emeka Onyeama, over allegations of gross misconduct and financial misappropriation, an official said on Sunday in Abuja.

Musa Ehizoje, the federation’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), in a statement on the outcome of the Annual General Meeting held on Saturday at the Abuja National Stadium.

“After the report from the NCF Ethics and Disciplinary Committee, the General Assembly unanimously suspended the federation’s former president, Emeka Onyeama, from all of the federation’s activities.

“This was due to gross misconduct and financial misappropriation, pending the outcome of the investigations by the anti-graft agencies,’’ he said in the statement.

Onyeama is also the Chairman of the FCT Cricket Association.(NAN)
