The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) in Kano State, says it received 134 complaints of alleged human rights abuses in June.
The NHRC Coordinator in the state, Alhaji Shehu Abdullahi, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Kano.
He said that 76 of the cases had been treated, while 58 were pending.
Abdullahi said that 109 cases comprised of child abandonment, denial of access to children, five incidents of domestic violence, and 11 of assault.
He said that nine other cases received during the period under review were related to breach of agreement and denial of inheritance.
Abdullahi advised couples to exercise patience in relating with one another in order to have enduring marriages. (NAN)
