Nigeria records 9 new coronavirus deaths in 7 States in the last 24 hours

The Nigeria centre for Disease control, NCDC, says 9 new deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours in States (Kano (2), Ogun (2), Bauchi (1), Enugu (1), Gombe (1), Katsina (1) and Rivers (1).

The NCDC stated this in its COVID-19 Situation Report 99 for 6th June 2020 on Sunday.

One hundred and thirty (130) cases were reported in the last 24 hours in eleven (11) states – Lagos (42), Kano (33), Rivers (26),
Kaduna (8), FCT (5), Delta (4), Sokoto (4), Borno (3), Bauchi (2), Osun (2) and Katsina (1).

The Agency noted that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and Chair of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha visited the National Reference Lab, Gaduwa as Nigeria recognises 100 days
since the index case of COVID-19 in the country.
