Nigeria records highest daily confirmed COVID-19 cases as death toll hits 278

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has announced the highest daily figure of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country.
The Centre announced this in its daily COVID-19 updates on Saturday night.
According to the NCDC, on the 30th of May 2020, 553 new confirmed cases in 15 States and 12 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.
It added that no new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.
“Till date, 9855 cases have been confirmed, 2856 cases have been discharged and 273 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory”.
