The Nigerian Police has refuted claims making the rounds that the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris has ordered the arrest of Sen. Dino Melaye and also plans to inject him to death.
According to the police in a twitter message, “No order from IGP or plan by the Force to arrest Sen. Melaye and inject him to death, if the Senator knows he has committed any crime or aware of his involvement in any crime, he should come out, confess and face legal consequences instead of whipping up sentiments to distract the public”.
It would be recalled that the Police has earlier in the year accused Dino Melaye of arming political thugs and also placed him on Interpol Watch.
