Yoruba movie actor and icon of Nollywood, Azeez Ijaduade, has been allegedly shot  by a policeman in the neck in the wee hours of Sunday in Iperu in Ijebu area of Ogun State.

Azeez, the son of veteran filmmaker, Dimeji Ijaduade, was seen in a viral video as he lay on a hospital bed with a blood-soaked bandage on his head and neck.

He was rushed to the Babcock University Teaching Hospital at Ilisan, a nearby town to  Iperu.

The video showed police officers  making  frantic calls, all looking worried by the action of their colleague.

Since the incident early Sunday morning, some Nollywood actors namely Jigan and Adeniyi Johnson, made live Instagram videos to announce the sad news to the public.
