Plain-cloth cops to police FCT during Sallah celebration – CP

police on patrolAs part of security arrangement to ensure a hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir celebration in the Federal Capital Territory, the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Mustafa has ordered the massive deployment of plain-cloth and uniformed Police operatives around praying grounds, shopping malls, gardens, recreational spots, critical infrastructures, motor parks and other areas that will be a beehive of activities while the event is been commemorated. This arrangement also included the strategic deployment of personnel on foot and motorised patrols along all streets and major roads across FCT.

CP Muhammad Mustafa issued the directive this week at the Command Headquarters during the Command strategic operational meeting which was attended by Heads of Department, Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers attached to the Command.

While felicitating with all Muslim faithful in FCT, the Commissioner of Police advised worshippers to guard against carrying bags and baggage to   prayer grounds.

He enjoined FCT residents to continue to partner with the Command by providing it with timely information about criminals and suspicious persons hibernating around their environment, through the Command 24 hours emergency help-lines: 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653 and 08028940883.
